Flying around the world to photograph news, features and celebrities for national newspapers

and magazines was my dream job.

I’d decided to become a photographer after watching a TV documentary about a photo-journalist.

So I bought a camera and off I went to study photojournalism.

After leaving college I worked my way up through local and regional press before moving to London to work on the nationals.

Seeing my work on the front pages of titles like Hello and OK, The Times, Telegraph, Sun and Mirror really was a lot of fun.

And I also met and fell in love with a reporter assigned to cover a story with me.

We had a baby and got married – a relaxed, intimate, winter wedding in Greenwich, London. I was lucky enough to be able to call on my very talented photographer mates to shoot the pictures.

And in turn I started photographing weddings for friends. I was unexpectedly hooked – the opportunities for creative storytelling photography was so exciting -  and it was clear where my future in photography lay.

So in time, we decided to leave the editorial world for full time wedding photography.

I take the photos and edit the images, Mrs Jeremy James runs the bookings and diary.

So we’re still a team, telling stories, only now they’re about incredible weddings.

We live with our three children in the heart of the Norfolk Broads, just a stone’s throw from some of Norfolk's most incredible wedding venues like Fishley Hall, The Bouthouse and Southwood Hall. A bit further down the road are The Norfolk Mead,

Hunters Hall, Holkham and Chaucer Barn.

When I’m not photographing weddings I’d love to say I’m running or cycling. But the truth is I’m probably ferrying the kids around to one of their millions of after school clubs (break-dance, skiing and swimming to name a few!)

But if I’m lucky, I’ll be enjoying drink with my wife and the little ones in our awesome community owned village pub The White Horse in Upton, or on board the little boat we have moored at Upton Dyke, while planning our next family skiing holiday.

So that’s me, if you think I sound like a good fit for your wedding, tell me more about you and your day…HERE
