Though I’m a Norfolk based wedding photographer, I’m often ask to photograph weddings beyond the borders of Norfolk and Suffolk and of course I’m always happy to oblige. I love shooting new wedding venues I haven’t worked at before. Far from being a hindrance, it really gets the creative juices flowing. When I was shooting for newspapers I’d often be sent abroad to work at a completely new venue so it really doesn’t faze me at all, and of course I always arrive early to scope it out and get a good feel for how I’m going to photograph it. I always do a bit of homework beforehand too so was really looking forward to photographing at wedding at the Northampton Guildhall. This stunning grade 11 listed building has buckets of gothic detail and history oozing from every nook. That’s been before we mention the grandeur of the staircase and stained glass windows. Naturally my clients wanted to me to make the most of the wedding venue they’d chosen while keeping a really

relaxed and natural feel to their wedding photography.
