My philosophy when it comes to wedding photography is simple really. The best wedding photography isn’t staged or posed because the most valuable pictures are the ones that capture the real emotion of your wedding day as it unfolds naturally.

That’s the fun, the romance, the excitement, the drama, the joy, all documented as it really happens. This is why all my photographs are so unique – because they’re not contrived and staged.

Couples really do look their best in pictures when they’re relaxed and doing what they do best – having fun with the people they love ( so, basically, not posing all day!)

There’s no need to set up shot after shot if you have an experienced professional in place to capture all the incredible and spontaneous moments as they happen.

Moments like this take place at every wedding – but it takes skill and experience to capture them in powerful images that really do ‘tell a story.’

If you want the more traditional portraits and groups – I shoot them too, but I like to keep these really natural and relaxed to compliment the reportage / documentary style I'll capture the rest of your day in.  And when it comes to portraits, I’m experienced enough to get ‘the shot’ quickly - so you can get back to your party!

My approach to wedding photography was shaped by years of photojournalism for national newspapers and glossy magazines. Read more about my background in photography over on the ABOUT page.

But before you go, watch this slideshow and let me know if these are the kind of photographs you want of your wedding….
