Here's me photographing a wedding at Gosfield Hall
DO YOU WANT AMAZING WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY WITHOUT POSING ALL DAY?
My philosophy when it comes to wedding photography is simple. The best wedding photography isn’t staged or posed because the most valuable pictures are the ones that capture the real fun, laughter and joy of your wedding day
as it unfolds naturally.
Using my 20 years of experience as an international news photojournalist means I will document your wedding day with beautiful, considered, stylish images captured in a relaxed and discreet way so you get to enjoy every minute without compromising
on amazing wedding photography.
I've spent my entire working life photographing people for a living so can say with certainty that people really do look their best in pictures when they’re relaxed and doing what they do best – having fun with the people they love
(so, basically, not posing all day!)
This documentary style of wedding photography, also known as wedding reportage or wedding photojournalism means your wedding photography will be truly unique because it's not staged or contrived.
I combine this style of wedding photography with beautiful, relaxed portraits and groups and then professionally edit your images and curate them into a visual story, telling the very best version of your wedding day.
My style of documentary wedding photography was forged from real experience as a photojournalist and has given hundreds of brides and grooms wedding photography that can instantly transport them back to their wedding day long after it's over Please CLICK HERE to meet some of them. EXPERIENCE YOU CAN RELY ON
I'm a full time Norfolk wedding photographer but I shoot weddings across the UK and abroad. I started shooting weddings ten years ago as a favour for my press photographer friends and colleagues.
Back then my full time job was flying around the world with my cameras to report on major news stories for national newspapers including The Daily Mail, The Sun, The Times and The Mirror and shooting celebrity features for national magazines including Hello and OK.
Having trained as a documentary photographer, my skill as a photojournalist was being able to to take pictures that told a story, quickly and discreetly. It's a highly competitive industry and editors expect the best photographs under any conditions - not getting the shot simply wasn't an option.
Though at first weddings might seem a world away from news, I quickly discovered that my skills were perfect for documenting weddings for couples who didn't want to spend their wedding day posing, but DID want incredible wedding photography captured by an experienced professional they could relax and rely on.
And just like my former Fleet Street editors, couples wanted the very best storytelling photography, captured quickly and efficiently with minimal fuss.
So after two decades of photojournalism - during which time I met my wife, a news reporter and feature writer - we decided to move our little family from London to my home county of Norfolk and focus on full time Norfolk wedding photography.
I shoot the pictures while Mrs Jeremy James looks after bookings and runs our home studio. So we're still telling stories together, only now they're about beautiful weddings.
