Heidi and Samuel did not want a traditional wedding – or a traditional wedding photographer for that matter. Neither of them loved the idea of having their photographs taken, but they still wanted great imagery to capture their day. It was clear that the documentary style was going

to work best for them, but we still managed to grab some relaxed and informal portraiture simply by going for a short walk together after the ceremony. I took the same approach during the reception, capturing them in the moment, enjoying the party with their family and

friends so they didn’t feel any pressure at all to pose.

 

This is exactly the way I love to shoot weddings.
